

QuerenciaThe Shop sits nestled in a tiny alley way, no one seems to know exists, everyone but me. The street appears to be stuck in time, with one foot in the 1600s and modern times with cobbled streets and electric street lamps. The Shop leans into the street as if to better see the passers-by. A weather beaten sign swings over head, letters peeling, paint faded the name unknown. That is however, quite incidental, it is the Shop.Querencia
Peering into the dusty windows, is it open? Ah movement. A familiar bell jingles overhead, calling out its greetings like an old friend. The Owner nods, yes me again. Drifting through the shelves breathing

its colors had faded to a midnight blue, with shapes like wandering clouds. Amazingly it was preserved like an ancient book. Twirling like a small child, I explored that complicated
world filled with romance. The mischievous moon mutely creating a chiaroscuro effect, behind it the delicate dawn bloomed
like daisies.

It was late September. The day was drawing to an end, everyone had gone. All except a lone figure sitting in a small cove in the cliff face. The only sounds were the crashing of the waves and the wheeling cries of the seagulls. The girl sat surrounded by the white, jagged rocks that made up the cove. staring at the sand, she spied something half buried and rose to investigate. The object was a shell, pink and shiny in the receding light, it was twisted and warped to form a spiraling cone shape. She paused before pocketing it, carefully brushing off the sand. Motionless, she stood watching the waves before deciding
